Information:
Dr. Safei-Eldin Hamed is a scholar of environmental and international development. As an educator, he taught at the University of Guelph and the University of Nova Scotia in Canada, King Faisal University in Saudi Arabia, Virginia Tech and the University of Maryland in the United States. Currently, he is on the faculty of the Department of Landscape Architecture at Texas Tech University. From 1994 to 1996, he worked as an "Environmental Assessment Training Specialist" at the Economic Development Institute, and the Environment Department of the World Bank in Washington, DC.
Interests:
My scholarly work encompasses two complementary research agendas. In brief, the scope of my research agenda is quite diverse. It bridges theory and practice, architecture and landscape architecture, development and conservation, North America and the Middle East, and science and culture.
